SOLE Stepping is a certified 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides new shoes and socks to elementary school students in Lexington County, South Carolina. Shoes are often the most visible sign of poverty. With 1 in 5 children living in poverty, that’s a reality that impacts every school district in America. The simple gift of a new pair of shoes can positively change a child’s world. That’s why we never distribute previously-owned shoes to our children in our sponsored schools.
Since 2016, we have provided more than 12,000 pairs of shoes to elementary school children in the Midlands of South Carolina.
We are devoted to the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned native wildlife and the preservation of wildlife through education.
Our story begins in 1989 when five Columbia residents recognized a growing need for a local organization dedicated to the care of wildlife in distress. Working in a garage, we received less than 100 patients that first year.
Today we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. In the decades since treating our first fledgling blue jay, we’ve treated and rehabilitated more than 55,000 animals representing 200 species.
Final Victory Animal Rescue was founded in May 2017 to serve a need for the animal rescue community. There is always an urgency to get the dogs out of the shelters due to space issues and the threat of euthanasia.
We are a nonprofit dog and cat rescue located in West Columbia, South Carolina. We give animals a positive experience after a traumatic time in the shelter, neglected homes, or living on streets. Large 5’x10′ runs, long walks by volunteers in quiet neighborhoods, outdoor play yards for socialization, and other positive play serve as a positive first step towards their forever homes.
