Rick Mantei recently visited Terra Bella, a senior care center known for its hospice and rehabilitation services, to spend time with one of its newest residents, Ms. Elsie Draffin.
Born in 1928 in South Carolina, Ms. Draffin has lived an extraordinary life. Her father operated a troop transport service, and she attended the University of South Carolina. Ms. Daffin also participated in the Miss South Carolina Beauty Pageant before launching a successful career as a real estate agent.
A vibrant and lovely lady, Ms. Draffin credits her longevity to a healthy diet of natural foods. She stayed active by growing her own produce while raising three children, firmly believing that a healthy lifestyle is key to a long and fulfilling life.
Rick Mantei was inspired by Ms. Draffin’s life story. Through this visit, he continues to connect with and honor the wisdom of the senior community.
