A Legacy of Service

SSgt. Cook served with the 524th Bomb Squadron, 379th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force, flying 35 combat missions aboard a B-17 Flying Fortress.

His role as a ball turret gunner placed him in one of the most dangerous positions in aerial warfare, protecting his crew and contributing to critical Allied operations across Europe.

His service reflects the courage and sacrifice of a generation that shaped the course of history.
