On Saturday, June 7th, Rick and Lisa Mantei, through the Mantei Charitable Fund, proudly hosted the WWII Veterans Honor Event at Woodward Field in Camden, South Carolina. With over 200 attendees gathered to pay tribute, the event featured keynote remarks from Col. Rick Mantei and Congressman Joe Wilson, along with support from Senator Lindsey Graham’s office.
The Mantei Charitable Fund made it possible for ten surviving WWII veterans to take to the skies once again in restored WWII-era aircraft—creating meaningful, emotional moments that celebrated their legacy of service. Events like this reflect the Fund’s mission to honor our veterans, uplift our communities, and inspire future generations through meaningful outreach and storytelling.
